Rocksteady Studios and WB Games revealed the gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at The Game Awards 2021. Players will be able to switch between characters at any moment during gameplay. In this case, the rest of the spots will be filled with AI. It will feature 4-player co-op, but you can play the game entirely in singleplayer. We've heard that it is a loot-based game similar in style to Marvel's Avengers, but this is unconfirmed. Judging from Rocksteady's previous work with the Batman: Arkham series, you can likely expect brutal melee combat. The game was first revealed just ahead of DC FanDome 2020, confirming that the rumors were true. In Rocksteady's version, the squad will be comprised of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Boomerang. Rocksteady says it’ll be completely playable in single-player, with bots filling in the role of other three characters. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will also be a 1 to 4 player experience. Set in the same continuity as the Batman: Arkham series, the game revolves around the titular antihero team’s attempts to defeat Brainiac, facing a mind-controlled Justice League in the process.
